Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Unconformable contact with the underlying Qizilafu Fm rock series
Upper contact
Unknown: The overlying stratum is not seen. In the Kangxiwar-Heweitan area, it is in faulted contact with the overlying Kuerliang Gr.

It is distributed in the upper Yarkant River of the West Kunlun Mts., the Kangxiwar-Heweitan area and the intermontane depressions of Sangzhutag Mt. and Bochatetag Mt. of Hotan, in E-W-trending bands. Eastward to the upper Yarkant River and the Kangxiwar-Heweitan area, it turns into a suite of marine clastic rocks, i.e. sandstone intercalated with carbonaceous shale and limestone, 1883−2935.8 m thick. In the Hotan area, it is dominated by gray-green tuffaceous sandstone intercalated with schist, tuff and limestone lenses, 3349.8 m thick; in unconformable contact with the overlying Upper Carboniferous Piyaman Fm but the underlying stratum is not seen.
